Anna Breyfogle
Teacher
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Anna began training at the Cincinnati Ballet Academy at age 9. Her ballet training primarily followed the ABT curriculum but broadened to Vaganova and Balanchine styles over the years. Additionally, Anna studied modern and contemporary within the Cincinnati Ballet following the Cunningham and Graham techniques.
At age 12 Anna became an assistant for summer programs and childrens classes at the academy. At age 14 she began working with the Princesses Ballet, a nonprofit based in Cincinnati providing free ballet classes to children across the city.
Along with teaching multiple technique classes per week Anna coordinated and choreographed for the yearly productions held by the nonprofit. With this Anna experienced how to present ballet to individuals with many different backgrounds with emphasis on accessibility and non-exclusivity.
Anna is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her love of dance with fellow adults and continue teaching at a variety of levels here at Begin Ballet.
